Timber Bridge Refurbishment
We have extensive expertise and experience within the specialised field of timber road bridge refurbishment where deteriorated timber elements are renewed with modern materials to extend the service life of the structures. We have a very strong understanding of not only the standards and specifications pertaining to timber bridge refurbishment but also the intricate workings and mechanisms of a timber bridge that cannot be expressed within drawings or documentation (i.e. we love our timber bridges).
Timber Bridge Preventative and Routine Maintenance
Each year we carry out preventative maintenance and routine maintenance works for bridge structures as per the MRWA specification and standards for our various Local Government clients. We are able to develop and deliver maintenance programs in line with the MRWA requirements such that our clients can meet their compliance obligations.
Bridge Replacement
We have successfully delivered several bridge replacement projects where an existing timber structure has been completely demolished and a new structure built in its place. Typically, these projects have been staged with one side being demolished and reconstructed at a time.
Guardrail and Crash Barrier Installation and Repairs
We have the capability to carry out guardrail/ crash barrier installation, upgrades and repairs. We have an elite level of understanding and experience when it comes to crash barrier systems and their implementation on the road. We have successful delivered multiple major bridge guardrail upgrades in areas that were technically challenging from engineering design and traffic management perspectives.
Concrete Bridge Maintenance
We carry out maintenance works to concrete road bridges, footbridges and other concrete structures. These services include surface treatment and anti-graffiti coatings, corrosion control, concrete repairs, patching and crack injection.
Boardwalk and Footbridge Construction and Maintenance
We have delivered design and construction projects for various Local Government Agencies for new boardwalk and footbridge structures using environmentally sustainable and maintenance free materials such as Fibreglass Reinforced Plastics and Wood Plastic Composites. We also carry out repairs and maintenance to existing boardwalk and footbridge structures.
Vessel Hire and Operations
We have a small fleet of vessels including barge work platforms and dinghies as well as experienced skippers and crew. We are able to provide vessel hire with or without operators to our clients for works on the WA river systems.
